Real address samples from OpenStreetMap
Sample recorded OSM house addresses with strict usage filters, source links and original fields. Map records are not delivery verification.
State filters and the five-state preset
State filtering reads explicit OSM addr:state tags without inferring states from postcodes or coordinates. Current US coverage has 283 DE records, 2 PA records and 9 without a state. AK, MT, NH and OR have no samples yet. The preset selects AK, DE, MT, NH and OR; it does not exempt every charge or transaction. Alaska may levy local sales taxes. Counts update with usage filters.

How do businesses differ from forwarding warehouses?
An OSM commercial tag does not establish a parcel-forwarding service. The separate directory on this page links to official Stackry and Shipito information, with review dates, address examples and account requirements. Customer locker or suite identifiers must come from the provider and are never randomly generated. Forwarders remain separate from OSM residential samples.

Where do these records come from?
The snapshot is prepared offline from Geofabrik regional extracts. It retains OSM object IDs, versions, timestamps and original address tags. Only nodes and ways with explicit matching country codes, streets and house numbers qualify.

Coverage and sampling limits
This release covers only the listed regional extracts, not entire countries. Up to 100 records per extract and usage class are selected by stable object-ID hash ordering. This is not a statistically representative population sample. Residential filtering never falls back to unknown.
How should missing fields and coordinates be read?
Fields come directly from object tags; missing cities or postcodes are not geocoded or fabricated. Language variants require explicitly tagged street names. Nodes use their coordinates; ways use the first available node, not a verified entrance or center. Loading the map explicitly contacts OpenStreetMap with the selected map area.
