MAC address generator
Generate up to 1,000 unique test MAC addresses per batch, with vendor prefixes, five formats and optional IPv6.
How generation and lookup work
Web Crypto supplies random bytes. Each batch is deduplicated, but uniqueness across devices or batches is not guaranteed. Local and multicast addresses are not attributed to vendors. Lookup prefers 36-bit, then 28-bit, then 24-bit assignments. Choosing a vendor preserves its prefix and requires unicast UAA.
IPv6 conversion limits
For unicast MACs, the tool inserts FF:FE and flips the U/L bit to demonstrate modified EUI-64. Modern devices can use other interface identifiers; this is not a discovery of a device’s actual IPv6 address.
