Address format and test coverage: United Kingdom
Synthetic fixtures · Not verified for delivery
An example for United Kingdom
This deterministic example shows the generator’s output for Churchstoke Community. Place names and address data retain their destination spelling rather than being translated with the interface. This is a test fixture, not a verified delivery address.

Included regional samples
The current United Kingdom catalog includes 96 regional samples. City, region and postcode are selected together. This list describes the generator’s coverage, not every locality in the country.

Postal fields in your tests
Preserve postal codes as text, including letters, spaces, hyphens and leading zeros. Examples in the current catalog: PL1 3AT, YO23 1AU, OL1 3RE, HP4 1DB, N18 2PG, PL14 5DD. A matching format does not confirm delivery.
Use this country in your workflow
Select a region or use any region, then generate 1–1,000 records. Keep the seed, options and generator version unchanged to reproduce a test. Save locally or export CSV, JSON or TXT; browser favorites do not sync across devices.
Generate a UK address and postcode for a form
Select United Kingdom, optionally choose one of the available regions, and generate an address. Copy the street, town or city and postcode separately, or export up to 1,000 records. This tool uses UK as its country selection code. If your integration expects ISO alpha-2 codes, map UK to GB in your integration rather than treating the UI code as a universal standard.
A postcode sample is not a verified street address
The selected town or city and postcode come from the same curated row, while the property number and street are generated independently. The result is not a licensed Postcode Address File lookup. Royal Mail maintains address and postcode information in PAF and provides Postcode Finder for real-address checks. Consult that service when the destination matters; a random record is only a fixture.
What to test in a UK postcode field
Keep the postcode as text, including its internal space. Exercise a short outward portion such as M1 and a longer one such as SW1A using your controlled fixtures; avoid a single fixed-length input mask. Check uppercase display without silently discarding the original input. Our street/city/postcode block is simplified and does not model every flat, dependent locality, post town or building-name combination.
Can a generated UK address receive post?
No mailbox or recipient is supplied. Use a real, verified destination for parcels, billing records and services that require your residence. Generated names and email addresses are fictional; the phone field is a test placeholder. To reproduce a failing form test, save the record and seed, and pin the generator version. Changing the curated catalog can change a seeded result in a later release.
